The pilot phase of the programme was launched in partnership with the Kyiv Regional Centre for Social Services. It brought together 35 teenagers aged 13–18 who are growing up in family-type care homes, foster families, or are internally displaced persons.
The main goal is to inspire children to explore different directions, support their conscious choice of a future profession, and help them enter educational institutions in their chosen field.
⭐️ Individual support
To help teenagers identify their future career path and opportunities, they work with mentors — well-known Ukrainian professionals.
⭐️ Introductory meetings
At hands-on introductory sessions, children meet professionals in their fields. At the very first meeting, teenagers had the chance to speak with designer @anna_october_, representatives of the SEREDA restaurant holding and their Purchasing Director @seryakova, and @kyrylo_newdokha, Head of the National Office for Children and Youth "DeIMO" under the Ministry of Social Policy.
⭐️ Practical experience
After meeting with mentors, teenagers will visit businesses, ateliers and restaurant kitchens to see professions from the inside and try them out in practice.
⭐️ Professional roadmap
Together with mentors, we will create a personalised "roadmap" for each teenager to help determine next steps. Where to apply? What skills are needed? What is important to study?
⭐️ Support every step of the way
We will be there for teenagers — supporting and inspiring them on their path to their dream profession!
We aim to scale this initiative across all of Ukraine.
Many thanks to the wonderful @creative.states for the cosy venue, @osnova_vg and @4mamasclub for the thoughtful gifts for the children ❤️
