The platform of the future profession— it is a career guidance project that helps adolescents make an informed choice of education and professional path in conditions of uncertainty.

The full-scale war significantly affected the labor market in Ukraine: the needs for specialists changed, some people went abroad or joined the defense of the country. At the same time, teenagers found themselves in a situation where it is difficult to understand which professions will be relevant in the future and how to build their own career. This is especially acutely felt by children from vulnerable categories, who often do not have sufficient support and access to quality vocational guidance.

The project creates opportunities for them to explore the world of professions through practical experience, interaction with specialists and work with mentors. Participants receive not only new knowledge, but also tools for self-knowledge and planning for their future. An important component is the formation of an individual roadmap of professional development for each teenager.

The pilot phase of the project has already been implemented in the Kyiv region in cooperation with the Kyiv Regional Center for Social Services. It was attended by 35 adolescents aged 13—18 — children from foster families, family-type orphanages and internally displaced persons. For many of them, it was the first systematic experience of getting to know the professions and their development opportunities.

As part of the project, teenagers interact with representatives of various industries, including business and creative industries, such as: SEREDA restaurant holding, Ukrainian women's clothing brand JUL, designer Anna Oktyabr, as well as the Office of Children and Youth “DAIMO” under the Ministry of Social Policy (with the participation of Kyrylo Nevdou Khoy), allowing them to see real career trajectories and better understand their own interests. The initiative has already been joined by Ukrainian companies and professionals who open up their work environments for participants and share practical experience.

The first results demonstrate that such a format helps adolescents rethink their ideas about professions, reduce fear of choice and find new directions for development. The next stage will be the expansion of the project to other regions of Ukraine and the involvement of a wider range of partners.

The platform of the future profession is about the opportunity for teenagers to see their future, to form goals and to take the first confident steps towards their realization.
