Analytical research “Bridging Dreams and Demand”

Analytical research “Bridging Dreams and Demand”— this is a large-scale study by the Kateryna Osadchyi Foundation, aimed at identifying the gap between the professional expectations of Ukrainian adolescents and the real needs of the labor market in the conditions of post-war reconstruction.

The project answers a key question: which professions will be in demand in Ukraine in the next 5-10 years and how these needs correlate with the choice of young people. In the context of a full-scale war, personnel crisis and economic transformation, this research forms the basis for effective career guidance policies and practical solutions in the field of education and employment.

The analysis is based on data from the International Study and Assessment of Ukraine's Recovery Needs (RDNA4), prepared by the Government of Ukraine together with the World Bank, the European Commission and the UN. The study was carried out by the international company Ipsos, which ensured high data quality and representativeness of the results.

The results of the study were presented at the international level during the largest conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine in Rome. During the workshop with the participation of international organizations, analysts and scientists, the Foundation presented key findings on the challenges of career guidance and the role of youth in the reconstruction of the country.

The study highlights that vocational guidance for adolescents today is a joint responsibility of the state, business, civil society and international partners. Its results are already being used for the development of the Foundation's projects, in particular the “Platform of the Future Profession”, and can also become the basis for the formation of policies and programs aimed at training future professionals.

The project was implemented with the support of the Norwegian-Swedish Foundation “Ascold and Dir”, administered by ISAR Unity, with financial support from the Embassy of Norway and the Embassy of Sweden in Ukraine.

“Bridging Dreams and Demand”— it is about combining the dreams of young people with real opportunities of the economy and creating the basis for sustainable development of Ukraine through human capital.
