“Workshop of care” is a series of parent meetings accompanied by specialists, created to support adoptive parents, adoptive parents and guardians in different regions of Ukraine.

The project is implemented in five cities — Kyiv, Odessa, Nikolaev, Khmelnytskyi and Mukachevo, as well as in the communities of the regions, expanding access to professional support for families in different life situations.

During the meetings, participants have the opportunity to talk in a safe circle about the challenges of raising children, exchange experiences and receive professional advice. The format combines elements of facilitation, teamwork and professional support, which allows not only to share your own stories, but also to find practical solutions to difficult situations.

The special value of the project is the atmosphere of trust and mutual support that is formed between the participants. Here, parents can talk openly about topics that often remain out of the public domain, and gain insights from those who go down a similar path.

The facilitators of the project note that the key outcome of the meetings is not only the exchange of experiences, but also the formation of a community of support, where parents are not left alone with the challenges of upbringing.

The “Caring Workshop” creates a safe space where parents receive knowledge, emotional support and tools to better understand their children's needs, as well as the opportunity to be heard and accepted.
