"The Empty Chair" is a joint initiative by the Kateryna Osadcha Foundation, FILM.UA, and the creators of the anthology series "The Missing," dedicated to Ukrainians who have gone missing due to the war, and to their families who continue to search and wait.
This is a symbolic place for someone who cannot be with their loved ones today. Someone who is still missing, but who is still being searched for and waited for.
Kateryna Osadcha’s missing persons initiative began at the start of the full-scale invasion in response to thousands of messages from people who had lost contact with their loved ones.
Evacuation, occupation, combat, disrupted communications, and forced displacement—the war has torn thousands of families apart.
This led to the creation of the "Find Your Own" project, and the search for missing civilians became one of the core pillars of the Kateryna Osadcha Foundation.
Today, the project integrates a search platform, volunteer efforts, collaboration with government agencies, open-source intelligence, and informational support for families.

Over 3,500 people have already been found. But the search continues.
